TESTS, AND TESTS FOR Angus, AND THE OS
Guess I haven’t been very good with the blogging lately, have I? Just been busy with everyday life. Kids, Angus, Family, and halfheartedly looking for a job. No word on if I got the job at Aidan’s school yet. It seems every time I have something to blog about I just don’t have the time lol.
Angus has been having a lot of tests at the hospital the past couple of weeks. He has to have another MRA (like a MRI). We spent hours and hours last week at the hospital while he was having one. The machine kept freezing up, so off he goes tomorrow for another try. I am sitting this one out. They won’t tell us anything anyway. We won’t know how any of the test have turned out until next week when we see his Doctor. He has had more test the past couple of weeks than he did in over a year at the VA hospital. What a good insurance plan will do lol.
Today marks day 11 of no cigarettes for Angus. He is doing amazingly well. He had one at work last week sometime. But he decided that it was stupid, and it would only make it harder. I think the fear of Potentially loosing his leg in the future if he doesn’t quit has really hit home I have not picked a quit date yet. I have to bring the Aidan to the doctors tomorrow so I think I will mention to him about the wellbutrin and see what he has to say.
Hmm, funny I was just going to write about the OS, and the phone rings. It was her lol. She still has been very well behaved. She called last Saturday to see if we would like to come over in the afternoon. I had plans to take the kids to see a Peter Pan play at my favorite park. She was very ok with it. My mother however was not. She was suppose to come with us. But dropped us like hot potatoes when the OS called, and thought that we should maybe go over there instead. Right in front of the kids she made the statement that she thought maybe the kids would have more fun. Little did she know Aidan has been waiting to see this for a couple of months now. And it was the only free day to see it. Peter Pan won, hands down. We had a great afternoon in the park. I think we must have walked at least three or four miles on the trails before the play even started. I also discovered that my allergy immune system is not used to what grows in that park. I could barley breath my nose was so stuffed, and my eyes looked like I had a great night with a bottle of cuervo let me tell you.
Anyhow, she called again on Sunday to see if the Aidan would come over to play with my younger nephew, Max as Drew had a friend over and he wanted someone to play with. But we had plans to go to my brothers for a cookout and play in the pool. My brother and I went back and forth on if she should be invited or not. We decided that, hey every time she invites me over she doesn’t call him to come. And that we are just not going to play the game anymore. I had a minute to prepare what to say before I picked up the phone to speak with her. I just love caller ID lol. And I had let my mother answer the phone. So I very nicely told her I was sorry I had already made plans to take the kids up to play with Jeff and Monica, and maybe next weekend we could get together. She was pretty ok with it. No sarcasm detected in the voice.
Few, that went well! My phone conversation with her this morning went well also. I was dreading telling her that my brother offered to let us have Aidan’s birthday party at his house. But it went smoothly. She has got to be taking some kind of Meds. I would love to know what they are if she is, cause whatever it is its a miracle drug.
Well not much else to blog about at the moment. Just trying to hang in there everyday.
