IT'S GOING TO BE A DIFFERENT KIND OF HALLOWEEN
Usually we go to a block party in Sally and Mike’s neighborhood and all the kiddo’s trick or treat together, big and small. So we know they are all safe together. One or two mom’s or dad’s will accompany if they have wee ones. This has not been the case for our crowd for several years. We all make something to bring for the pot luck, light the chimneys and let the hot cider (spiked of course) flow. It’s a fun night for all.
Not this year. We moved, friends moved, and have the nerve to be in Cabo San Lukas as I type! Angus is working, he is suppose to coming home two hours early. Ha, believe it when I see it. The kids want to go trick or treating in our old city with friends. I don’t want to have to drive a half hour just to bring them, and the traffic will be terrible on the way home. Plus it is a school night, that’s my winning argument so far. This is the first year in I don’t know how many that I will actually have to walk the streets and go door to door with them!
I am so not into Halloween this year. I didn’t even decorate, Nada nothing. Well I did buy pumpkins and the kids and I carved them yesterday. And I suppose that the cats at our old house PISSED all over my box of Fall/Halloween decorations doesn’t help the situation. Boo on Halloween.
