Tonight's the night!

Who is hogging all the sunshine? Please send some!

It’s 47 degrees out and foggy and drizzly. The grass grows and needs to be cut. I need to be outside doing things. Come on. Send some sunshine, someone.

Despite the dreariness, this household was full of excitement and good cheer this morning. It’s a very important day. The new Star Wars movie opens tonight (midnight) and it’s one of the social events of the year. The lad and half the high school will be in attendance. There are pre-movie dinners and post-movie get-togethers planned. No one will be able to concentrate at school today. No one will be able to keep their eyes open tomorrow. I was even moved to buy a bunch of little glow-in-the-dark Yoda Pez dispensers last evening for some of the kids to take along. They’re so utterly campy and cool.

It’s fun being a kid. They’re gonna have a blast tonight.
