Toasty

Here’s my little furnace. You wouldn’t think something that small would heat an entire house, but we are right toasty tonight. The outdoor temperatures only rose into the lower 40s today and they’re headed back down into the 30s tonight. There was a distinct chill in the house this evening. It was time to build a fire. In a short time, the thermometer says we’ve jumped from 60 degrees to 78 degrees. I have to admit, that’s a little too toasty and I had to open a window a crack. It’s just right, now. The small green cast iron pot on the top of the stove is filled with water and a couple of cinnamon sticks. Smells spicy!
