Time to scrub and polish

I enjoy the thoughts of cleaning my house. And I love being in my freshly cleaned house where surfaces sparkle and floors shine. But I do not like the chore of cleaning my house. This is where a little Zen would come in handy. I wish I could find cleaning as enjoyable as sitting down with a fresh cup of coffee and a book. It’s attitude, I’m sure. But after nearly a half century of practice, I still haven’t found the right attitude to make cleaning a pleasurable pursuit. I think I’m cheating myself out of something. Maybe.

Note to Miss Abbie (cat): If you insist on eating large crickets, would you please spit the legs out before you swallow the rest? I’m getting a little tired of cleaning up regurgitated cricket legs.
