Surprise!

The lad walked in the door a few hours ago sporting long hair and a beard. He looks rather...well, collegiate probably isn’t the right word. I wasn’t expecting him for another week. The last I’d heard, he and his dad were going camping for a few days. But I guess they decided that wouldn’t be the right thing to do on Mother’s Day weekend, so here he is. WhooHoo!! What a neat surprise. We’ve been doing laundry already. And friends are arriving already, too. And, um, I’ve made an emergency trip to the grocery store as well. Hungry lads and all. This is nice. I’m smiling big.
