Somethin' you don't see every day

I built up a toasty fire this morning and Abbie cat sat on the arm of the sofa soaking in the heat. Gradually it worked its magic on her and she grew drowsy. And then drowsier. Her head slowly sank to her chest. A couple of times she jerked herself upright, but fell into a deeper sleep again.

And then, suddenly, she toppled over and landed on the sofa seat. One very surprised and embarrassed kitty who then pretended that’s what she meant to do all along because she needed to give herself a bath.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a cat tip over before.
