Post-storm sore

Trash day today. I didn’t put anything out last week so there is a bit more to haul out today and wouldn’t you know...snow. My full trash can was behind the fence gate which had a nice drift against it. Plus all the rest of the snow on either side. It wasn’t a simple matter of just grabbing the trash can and hauling it over the top of the fence like usual. Took me a good half hour to clear a path to the gate and de-drift it. In addition to all the other de-drifting. I’m a trifle sore today. Not nearly as bad as I thought I’d be, though. Those weights and treadmill do help, apparently. It’s my waist that feels like it might snap off any minute now. If I have to lift another shovel full of snow, it just might.
