There I was, out on Route 1, cruising on home when a huge black pick-up truck pulled out in front of me. This truck had all sorts of bling attached—Shiny chrome exhausts pipes, shiny chrome dual flag poles, various lights, antennae, and stickers and magnets of the patriotic sort. I followed the truck for a few miles and was kind of mesmerized by a pair of these swinging from the trailer hitch. This had to be *the* definitive example of ‘compensation vehicle’ mentality. My goodness.
