Wing-Dings - now it makes perfect sense

Sunday, 11:52 am

Well DUH, now this explains everything--if you read my post this morning about typing something in wingdings, this will make sense to you.  I had NO clue what wingdings were, but here it is in black and white, DINGBAT fonts.  Perfect! Dingbat Fonts

So above you is what I wrote, it was much prettier on my word document though..........if you are inclined, feel free to translate it--you should be able to.  You see, I was afraid that I was going to have to make a little speech this afternoon so was playing around with words.  Then in the middle got the call I was off the hook. someone else would.  Yay, thank goodness.  So, now we all know, I AM a dingbat!!

Not to worry, Cyn. Nothin’s broken. I am incredibly curious to know what all those boxes are supposed to say, though.  wink

Like that do you?  I am glad I made you laugh J!!  My goal in life is to keep ‘em laughing!!  ;)

Kate:  Unfortunately I deleted what it was SUPPOSED to say - and the wingdings looked wicked cool on my computer.  I did try to email them to you but the damn email program kept turning them into real words!!

Essentially though it went something like this. First of all I had notes to MYSELF like, Don’t sway back and forth when you are talking cause people will think they are on the Titanic.  And, as you look at people don’t turn your head from side to side so fast you look like the bobblehead doll in the back of the Cheby Chebrolet.  LOL I figured once I read those two things, I would be laughing to myself and then the would (a) think I was having a good time and/or (b) wonder what the hell I was up to.

The rest was sort of a speech starting out as, ‘My name is Cyn - as in Cynthia, not as in ‘the original ‘and a little bio stuff about myself.  I talked about being an independent unlike Scott Brown who is no independent - and why I ended up registering as a Dem because Mass changed the Independent category to unenrolled and how that means uninvolved, unread, uninterested to me........and more stuff like that.  It was much funnier in the original and I am grateful found out ahead of time I would not need it! ;)

If you “view source” in your browser, it shows you the codes for all those dingbats.  I didn’t bother to look them up, but below is the first “sentence”, with the ampersand at the front of each code replaced by a space.  If I didn’t do that, it would just show the dingbats again…
