Weather Weirdness
I turned the radio on a little while ago and I just heard the announcer say that it was 68° in Boston. At least, that’s what I thought he said. I had to get up and check my outdoor thermometer. It said 67.6°. At nearly 10PM on November 15th in the northeast. That’s unusual. When was the last time I opened my doors and windows at 10PM in the middle of November to warm my house up? It’s 3 degrees cooler in my house than it is outside. Free heat!
I am loving it! Rain or no rain. I will even settle for today’s forecast of rain and only about 60. It beats the rest of the week of only in the upper 40’s and then dropping in to the 30’s. Dang.
Oh for Pete’s Sake....... Freaking SNOW Thursday night? Sheeeeeeeeeet.
I hope you’re getting the 60° today because we surely aren’t. It struggled to get to 47 and now it’s starting to drop. The cold front arrived a little ahead of schedule. At least the sun finally came out! After today, winter’s moving in to stay for a while. The forecast changed again, no snow this week, but showing up next week. No rush.
I wish we could squeeze out another warm front. My November allotment of wood is starting to look a bit depleted. It’s too darned early to be digging into the main woodpile. It’s going to be mighty chilly around here for the next two weeks ‘cuz I’m not gonna dig into it. Just because I got extra wood this year doesn’t mean winter has to start a month earlier!
I was up in the Berkshires, and yes, it was 68 at 4PM, and at 6PM and when Mom and went out to dinner around 7PM, and then just as we turned into her driveway around 9PM, the skies opened. I don’t know when I have seen it rain so much and so hard. We sat in the car for a bit, then decided to make a run for it....crazy. And still was 66 or so. Heard this morning there was a tornado watch up there. Glad I did not know last night!! Left there this afternoon and it was freaking cold, snow flurries in the air and windy, windy, windy..........go figure.
