President Obama's Inauguration and Address
Text of his address here. Quite a bare bones speech. Not flowery or fancy. I heard about rolling up our sleeves, hard work, responsibility, and service. That’s quite a change.
I thought it was wonderful. I watched up until just after his speech. Then I had to run out to get a couple of things done with GC2 so she could go back to school today. Finally. Two full weeks out of school. So I missed the parade and what not.
It was kind of fun to read the international press today. They liked Obama’s speech and have high hopes. They are relieved that W is gone. And speaking of W...I read somewhere that he left Obama a message on his desk in the oval office, which O read this morning. Don’t know what it said, but I’d love to know.
I dunno. Maybe the sky is just a little bluer and the sun a little brighter today? ;)
