The farmer’s market was open this morning, so I stopped in to see what they had. I’m waiting less patiently every day for fresh strawberries. They’re not ready quite yet. The days and nights have been too cold. However, fresh from someone’s oven were still-warm bags of three small onion-garlic baguettes. The aroma was incredible! There were also tomatoes, fresh from a local farmer’s greenhouse. No cardboard tomatoes, these. And the milk, in returnable glass bottles, was delivered from a nearby farm this morning. It is pasteurized 2% milk and it tastes so much better than the stuff in cardboard containers from the grocery.
Anyway. That was my lunch. It doesn’t look like a lot, I suppose, but it satisfied. Everything was sooo good.
