Loose ends

I’ve been having one of those ‘tie up loose ends’ days. I always have loose ends flapping at me. And since they aren’t very high on my list of enticing projects, they usually languish until I have to do something about them. This is just another way of describing procrastination.

Nevertheless, the grocery shopping is now done and before that could be done the refrigerator had to be cleaned out and scrubbed down. That’s a job I really dislike, but it feels so good when it’s done. I vowed not to bring another item of food into the house until the fridge was cleaned. Since about the only things left in the cupboard were Campbell’s soup, applesauce, and a couple of pop tarts, I had to go grocery shopping.

The one loose end I haven’t addressed yet is giving Terry a bath. She stinks. It’s not warm enough to bathe her outside. And she clogs up the bathtub drain when I bathe her in there. What I wish some enterprising person would do is add a room on to the local car wash for dog washing. The plumbing is all there and the huge drains are all there. So why not? Someone...add a dog wash to the car wash! It would be the most popular place in town!

Finally, I had to address some computer housekeeping chores. Moving to Verizon meant losing about 6 e-mail addresses—which is a good thing. But that meant combing through all the subscriptions and bill paying places to change e-mail addresses. Which meant remembering User IDs and passwords (do I ever write anything down???!). And since I didn’t remember a number of them, that meant filling out the various forms so User IDs and passwords could be mailed to me. It just took a lot of time.

But now I have everything consolidated under ONE e-mail address. And all User IDs and passwords are neatly entered into a database and printed out for quick reference. Whoo!!!
