Bless its determined little heart, my mostly dead redbud tree isn’t giving up the ghost easily. In fact, it seems to have renewed its lease on life at the lower levels. It’s hard to kill something that’s trying so hard. But looking at this struggling tree (twig)...is it worth saving? I don’t know. If left to its own devices, in the wild, it might turn into some kind of tree eventually. I suppose I could leave it for the season and see what it does, but that’s one more delayed year toward a real tree. Maybe I’m too impatient. Or maybe I’m hoping for something that just isn’t gonna happen.

Whatcha think? Should I leave it or hoick it?
