Gravatar woes

What I want to know, and do not understand, is why the gravatars on this site won’t load for me on FireFox while they will on Internet Explorer. And even more curiously, why they load for other people on this site in FireFox.

And why they show up for me in FireFox on some other people’s sites, but not on others. It just irritates me to see blank boxes instead of images. I can think of no logical reason for the behavior on my end of things. Haven’t changed anything. I know the Gravatar site is going through some changes of some kind. But it still doesn’t make much sense to me. That’s my little annoyance for the day. That is all.
