Go Vote!

If you are a registered voter in the United States, then please go vote today (if you haven’t already). Of course, it would be appreciated if you’d vote to throw the Republican bums out of office, but just go vote anyway. It is to be hoped that all or even most of our votes will count. Sheer numbers could help counter any such shenanigans. So, go vote. Okay?

I’m taking three of my neighbors to the polls today. One, a former Republican asked if I’d take her so she could “rip the state out of Republican hands.” She knew I’d jump on that opportunity. The other two are now facing the Medicare donut hole and it’s hurting. A lot. They’re eager to go and do their bit to put a Dem in the governor’s office and support anyone else with a D next to their name. They don’t usually vote, but it’s really personal this time. I don’t imagine they are isolated cases. We’ll be leaving around 1:00 pm and I am delighted to help out.

Perhaps, by the end of tonight, we won’t have something like this to look forward to. The rest of the world is probably going to watch this election as anxiously as many of us. Wish us luck.
