The Rainlendar desktop calendar is about the best thing since sliced bread. It’s small, takes few resources, is rock solid stable, impressively customizable, endlessly and easily skinnable (with a couple clicks of the mouse), synchronizes with several clients, shows Outlook appts, does alarms, has an events list which shows as many days as you choose, has a handy To Do List, has balloon tool tips with scheduled events, times, plus notes when your mouse hovers over scheduled dates on the calendar and events list, and lots more etceteras. I love it soooo much. And have for about a year.
This weekend I began playing around with desktop environments and picked out Rainlendar skins to complement them. My desktop was tired and needed a lift. The thumbnails below illustrate some of Rainlendar’s variety. This hard working tool and I spend a fair amount of time staring at each other. We both deserve an appealing environment and Rainlendar makes that easy. Not to put too fine a point on it—I’d be lost without it now. It serves my right-brained tendencies exceptionally well.

Kendo Scroll Wallpaper as part of a DesktopX Theme (Windows). Really gorgeous. Getting to the wallpaper alone, though, was a little challenging. It had to be broken out of one program file that contained all the suite’s images. Anyway. If you like it, want it, need help...holler.
Kendo Scrolls Rainlendar skin. Calendar widgets didn’t size properly...tweaked it into compliance. Want it, need help...holler. Kinda worth it.
The calendar has two handy little toggle buttons to make the Events and To Do lists appear or disappear.

Textura wallpaper - several textured selections for wallpaper or website backgrounds. Original and beautiful.
Grunge Rainlendar skin. Unusual. This is what I’m using now. Also tweaked to add colors. The original is monochromatic and nicely done. I just need color coding.
