I couldn’t take the bright pink and turquoise any longer. Back to the foxes we go.
I tweaked the sidebar a bit. The additions will probably slow the loading time down to a crawl, but we’ll give it a try. And I opened a twitter account so there is no excuse for me to completely disappear for weeks on end. Twittering/tweeting/whatevering is kind of entertaining.
Anyway. More tomorrow. Is there anyone left who stops by to read this thing?

I still have you showing up in my rss reader. Kinda defeats updates in design though. It’s nice to see you back.
Thanks for the follow on twitter...I tend to forget to log on though.
So you’ve got snow as we sit here with the house open and the outside temps at 68 as the sun goes down…
I hardly ever read anything other than rss feeds anymore, either. Ah well. It’s still nice to flex the coding muscle occasionally.
I may hope that it doesn’t look awful on IE. I have as little to do with Windows as possible these days, so I dunno.
Yes, Gary, it is snowing out. Not quite cold enough for anything to stick, but it has been startling to look out the windows and see large fluffy flakes falling out of the sky two weeks before Halloween. In my nicely ordered world, snow does not happen before Halloween. It’s not supposed to happen much before Thanksgiving. It was doing this not even six months ago. This is not Alaska for heaven’s sake.
The lost has been found! Kinda like Balloon Boy!
(No, no, I’m not saying you’re a fraud, Kate!)
Captcha: yarrow (as in Peter?)
Well I check every day even though I talk to you several times a week lol. I just can’t seem to get into the rss thing. I always forget to check them even though I get my email every day. Guess It just seems to much like just reading an email to me I guess?
Can you believe this freaking snow crap? My car was covered! I have pictures to prove it too. Sent them off to all my Ca friends that just didn’t believe me and thought I was just starting the whining early lol.
Well, Linkmeister, *I* didn’t feel lost, but I can see how others might think I was. ;)
No, J, I couldn’t believe it was snowing in the middle of October. I don’t have enough wood for it to get this cold this early. It’s supposed to still be in the low 60s at this time of year. I guess that normal temp was before the new climate change normal temps started kicking in. You know that I love my wood stove, but not for seven months out of the year. Cripes.
I always stop by! I loved this format the first time I saw it! I miss you! I have been bad about updating my site too.
Missed you, news of the lad and your critters. Glad to
see you and the familiar fox format back again.
I still check.
Though, seeing how it’s now three days after your restart, I obviously hadn’t been checking daily.
OTOH, now that you’re posting again, I’ll be checking more often.
PS. I post at least once every calendar month, even it it’s just drivel.
PPS. RSS feeds? Twitter? Every day I become more like Nedd Ludd.
LOL N. I think your attitude and behavior are a little different than Ned Ludd’s were. When you throw your computer out the window, then I’ll worry. ;)
On the other hand, that might signal something quite progressive. According to a book I’m reading, we will all be consolidating our outer geeks into smaller and more efficient devices that do much more within ten years. Not hard to see it happening.

Waving to Judy and Annie.
I’m glad you like the foxes, too. I think I like it the best of any design I’ve had.
Yay--you are back. I was just about to give up and then finally decided to check one more time and look at this. Happiness!! Glad you are back. I missed all your updates and chatty news--sort of like sitting down to have a cup of coffee with an old friend!!
I have a twitter account but barely use it, I dislike it and tweets!! Plus I got all these wicked weird people following me who I never heard of nor ever want to hear of ;) It got bizarre so I have just stopped it. But I do play on Facebook ALL the time so come and visit me there!!
So happy to see your post, also very happy to see the foxes back. Can hardly believe the snow in October, but we did have rain in September (very rare, Sept is supposed to be the hottest month here) and we had a big rainstorm on Oct 13, and a steady soaking rain on Oct 18. Very early for rain here.
And I read somewhere that this winter coming up is supposed to be the snowiest one on record. Ever. We’ll see.
So glad to hear from you.
Glad to see you back alive. And I like the fox better.
Good to see you blogging. Always enjoyed your style.
You know, Cyn, I went for days and days and days and....days....without even *looking* at my blog or email. I had a very Luddite couple of months where I didn’t even want to look at the little glowing phosphors. I was doing other things...like scraping and painting the deck, sealing the deck floor, rearranging furniture throughout my entire house, tearing out cabinets, rearranging cupboards, getting rid of stuff, having a yard sale, etc. And reading like a maniac. I have so much to read, I need a clone. Seriously.
Hey, Margaret, and Harry, and Dave! Glad to see you!
