Delightful evening
Well. A very pleasant evening spent with the lad and his girlfriend. The lad decided to cook a meal tonight and wondered if it would be okay to invite Becca over. Sure thing. We ate rather fashionably late...he made a Greek dish. I’m not sure what it was called, but it involved steak and shredded potatoes. The potatoes had mint in them. The steak was infused with a variety of herbs and served with chopped tomatoes, feta, basil, chopped olives, and olive oil on top. Just fabulous. We had a delightful time sitting around the candlelit table talking over a bottle of retsina. I like this girl very much. And of course, we know that I’m nuts about the lad. Good company. We had a lot of fun talking about everything under the sun. Including British and Scots history. Ahhh....a girl after my own heart.

I suppose you realize that if she is the one for the Lad, she’ll win over you in the competition for his heart.
That sounds a bit harsh, Pablo, but, yes, I would agree to the extent that you’ve stated it. Competing sounds counterproductive, no? His heart is large enough to encompass his entire family. We each have our place and the relationship/family he forms will come first. Isn’t that the normal (or, at least, preferred) way of things?
The bonus, of course, would be a daughter to spoil a little bit, too. Eventually...no rush. ;)
She has nothing to worry about. I know the lad pretty well and he has a big enough space for a lot of women! And the bond they have, nothing will change it. It will only get stronger as their family gets bigger! They are both very special people.
That sounded funny, J. LOL. Let’s hope not tooo many women.
But yeah, he has two moms now, someday he’ll have three along with a wife and maybe a daughter or two. Bunch of lucky women.
The lad cooks? OMG, what did I do wrong?
Ya, it does sound funny when you read it but, it is true lol.
Annie, my little lad loves to cook and bake too. I give credit to my addiction to food network lol. Lots of male role models there! When a 12 yr old sees that he can shoot fireworks off in a cake, well............ LOL.
Well, BC hasn’t set your kitchen on fire yet, J...but there’s still time!! Remember my melted blinds and countertop? I dunno, Annie....it’s a road fraught with hair raising moments. Your sense of self-preservation might be better developed than ours.
LOL, yes I do! We save the pyro stuff for GC2. I am afraid to let her boil water.
