Oh! i missed you! glad you are back, and so happy to hear about the little rescue budgie!!! Doesn’t it just make you feeel good when you can do such a kind deed? So whats his name??? Hoepfully his medical problems are not to serious
Oh, you’ll probably hear some ‘keet stories, Cyn. Like the one about Abbie and Dobby having a crush on each other.
Annie, our new budgie’s name is Lucy—for the time being. I think she’s a she. But she could turn out to be a boy. It’s sometimes hard to tell with young budgies. Lucy has a number of female budgie traits, but she also chirps a blue streak which is rather more a male budgie trait. It’ll be a couple of months before I know for sure.
Lucy had a bacterial infection and some rather severe nutritional deficiencies. And she was terrified (utterly, horribly, scarily) of humans. Her health is improving by leaps and bounds each day and her fear is somewhat less than it was. She’s going to be a challenge, though. And did I mention that she has little jaws like a bear trap? Her bites don’t quite draw blood, but they really make ya go “OUCH!!” Even that is improving a bit. She’ll be a sweetie when she’s figured out that I’m a nice person and she’s safe.
Oh! Lucy!! YOu are such a kind heart to help her out!

It does sound like fun and glad to know all is well in your world. Your reasons for not blogging are certainly understood--makes perfect sense to me, but you have been missed. Those of us (me) who don’t blog anymore need those of you (you!!) who do!! LOL Can’t wait to hear ‘keet stories as time goes on!
