Daylight Saving Time

I had forgotten that tonight we set our clocks ahead for Daylight Saving Time. Of course, with two atomic clocks in the house, I’d have realized it at some point tomorrow. The question remains, how long it’ll take me to set the rest of the clocks in the house ahead. The one in the kitchen might just stay an hour behind. It’s a pain to change and even worse trying to set it back an hour in the autumn.

Some people don’t like DST. I do, though. My world runs much more smoothly on DST. Losing light in the morning isn’t a big deal. But gaining an extra hour of light at the end of the day sends me into orbits of ecstasy.

Today the sun set at 5:42 pm with twilight at 6:10 pm. Tomorrow, the sun sets at 6:43 pm with twilight at 7:11 pm. A whole hour and one minute of extra daylight. Whoo! Tomorrow is supposed to be sunny all day, too. After today’s gloom and pouring rain, that extra hour will seem bigger, brighter, and better. I’m so excited!
