I’d send you some if I could.
The thing is, though, it’s not that I dislike snow. I like it a lot, actually. But, this winter, we’re getting more ice than snow. Ice is no fun. It makes daily living a challenge. Especially when I’m trying to navigate it with an armload of wood. I’m sick, sick, sick of ice. Just plain snow would be fine. Really. Maybe it is a global warming thing. The ocean should be cold enough to bring us snow by this time of year. But we’re still getting freezing rain to top off most of our so-called snow storms. In all likelihood, this trend will probably get worse. Just wahoo.
Listen to this song and wish.
I’ve never heard of her, but I may look her up.
hmmmm, remember back in November or December when we were still laughing over that “I love Snow and New England joke” I am not laughing now. This is getting old real fast. The number of inches expected has gone up by two every two hours I think. DAMN!! Supposed to be 50 on Monday--ya think?? Bout froze my you know what off today, that sun was lovely and deceiving...not nice!! ;)
Linkmeister, I’ve been humming that all evening now. Ear worm alert! I know just how ole Oscar felt when he wrote those lines.
Cyn, I’m resigned. And I thought of something today...as long as it’s cold and the grass is buried, I don’t have to mow it. See, there *is* a silver lining.
I take the forecasted snow amounts with a grain of salt at this stage. They haven’t gotten it right yet. So, we could get anything from a dusting to a foot and I wouldn’t be surprised either way. I’m just all tingly with anticipation for morning when I get to look out the window and see all that snow I’ve gotta shovel.
Not sure what you are getting but I was up at 5--a certain cat decided I should get up--and looked out, went back to bed, at 7 or so, the same amount of snow on ground--I swear. Now it is 11 and still snowing and if the amount has increased, I really am not seeing it. Very strange.
I am supposed to go for an audition this afternoon and am trying to make up my mind whether to go or not...I wish it would either amount to something or stop!! ;)
I don’t know how much we got before it turned to slush. There’s about 4 inches of slush out there. And it’ll freeze solid tonight, thaw tomorrow, refreeze tomorrow night, etc. Still snowing, though. And adding to the slush pile.

Send it this way, please!!! There is no snow at all, here in Interior BC. Not good for the environment or for snow-lovers. I found out this year (after moving from the Canadian Prairies) just how much of a snow lover I really am LOL.
thanks for sharing the beautiful Robert Frost poem, one of my favs.
