Cider Press Hill

Sick and impatient

Kate isn’t entirely sure whether she has the worst cold she’s ever had in her entire life or if she has a middling version of the flu. She’s less inclined to think it’s the flu because the last time she had the flu, death seemed like a preferable alternative. This time she’s railing against the fates and feeling tremendously put upon because her fingers and toes and hair hurt. She wants this over with so she can go do stuff. Like participate in the Eagle Festival this weekend. And she’s speaking in the third person because she’s somewhat detached from reality at the moment, owing to some yummy cold and flu medications. Floating on a pink cloud kinds of medications. She would, however, be happy to forfeit the pink clouds if she could go see the eagles tomorrow.
