I wish you a safe journey to and from!!
Somehow or another, the 9AM plan didn’t quite work out. Ah well. I’m waiting for someone to emerge from the shower all fresh as a daisy and ready to go. The car is packed, the cash is withdrawn, the car is fed, and the directions reviewed. I think we’ll be out of here sometime in the next half hour. Close enough. It doesn’t miss my observation that when it’s time to go pick him up from school, I’m ready to go by 5AM, but taking him back...well, a little dilly-dallying never hurt.
Hang in there, J. Feel better and summer will be here before ya know it. The next time you’re over here, I don’t think you’ll recognize the place. Boy, do I have projects lined up. One thing about furniture in this house...it never seems to stay in one place for very long.
Well, got home about an hour ago. Had to start a fire and get it roaring as soon as I walked in the door… ‘twas cold in here and Abbie was not very happy about it.
Both the trip down and back were uneventful (aside from a wrong turn or two on the way there), but very enjoyable. Connecticut has some really good public radio programs on Saturday nights.
I drank enough coffee today to float a battleship and my eyes are wide open. Just a little wired, I think.
Anyhoo, all’s well. More tomorrow. It was a really fun day.
Glad your trip was uneventful! Not glad I didn’t get to see him before he went back.
...and aren’t you glad you went yesterday and not today. Clearly I missed something somewhere cause I thought this snow (3” so far and still coming down--little flakes, big snow??) I could have sworn it was supposed to come in tonight. Matters not, I worked yesterday in B-town, have today off and think I shall bake and do all sorts of things like that.........maybe!! Also have a brand new book by Kay Hooper (one of the Bishop series which I love) and it is not just calling my name, I think it is shouting to me.
Uh, yeah...where did ALL this snow come from??? I thought it wasn’t supposed to snow more than a few flurries. There’s enough heavy wet snow out there to SHOVEL. And I so don’t feel like shoveling today. It’s going to turn to rain and wash that snow away. Right? RIGHT?!?
Reading a book sounds like a perfect plan for a day like this.

LOL, it does seem that way! At least we got one good snow while he was here. I don’t think this is anything but a dusting from what I hear. Sigh, another winter break goes by without me being able to see him. My back is not doing well these days. This soccer ball wants out (the other two melons reek havoc on other organs lol) and thinks it can exit from the rear! Hopefully I will be up to a trip over sometime next week?
