Cider Press Hill

Still summer

While one shouldn’t look a gift horse in the mouth, there is something a little bit wrong with having an 81° day on October 22. On the one hand, I appreciate not freezing my behind off as is common this time of year, but summer is supposed to be over. My windows and doors are all open and I’m running around in short sleeves today. Still, it is nice to look out and see summer flowers in bloom. Except that it’s slightly unnatural. I suppose when the winter boom lowers, it will come with a mighty crash and then I’ll be wishing for 81° days again.
