Kinda spooky, isn’t it? ;)
Wow, nice shot. I have an expensive camera and still have to send my photos via CD to my brother to make them look like they’re supposed to. I’ve taken pictures of the moon, too, but they never turn out. This one is worthy of framing!
oh pretty! You need to take me out so I can learn how to use my camera lol.
And dear, you really neeeeeeeeeeeed to check your landline phone messages lol.
love ya.
not sure if you still have the tv off or not, but same night there was an absolutely spectacular shot of this moon during the Red Sox game and a fan was standing up in just the right spot and it looked for all the world like someone going across the face of the moon. I was anxious to see the Globe Thursday morning assuming someone snapped a shot of it, but nothing. I suppose it looked ever so much better on tv than it really did there. But it was one of those WOW moments. It was HUGE and as orange as it could be.........
Hey, thanks dk. The moon is a hard image to capture without the right equipment. I used one of the front porch posts to steady the camera. The moon just happened to be in the right position for that to work out.
I used to have a really nice camera, but it died. The repair, I was told, would cost more than the camera. So I bought a used camera instead. It takes pictures, but it is quite limited. So I am impressed with it in this case.
Funny, too, it wasn’t nearly as dark as the photo suggests. It was just after dusk and there was still a lot of light in the sky. I took a photo without the flash and the moon turned out looking like a white blob in an afternoon sky. I tried using the flash and the above photograph is the result. It completely blanked out all ambient light.
J, I’d love to have the chance to play with your camera!
I keep trying to convince the lad that he should leave his here for safe keeping since he hardly ever uses it. You and he have the exact same model. It’s a really nice camera.
Yes, Cyn, I still have the tv off. I’ve missed out on all the Red Sox goings-on. The moon here, that night, was also huge in the sky. I mean, really harvest moon HUGE. My camera couldn’t capture that for some reason. I guess it filtered that optical illusion out. I’d love to have seen what it looked like over Fenway Park. (They were at Fenway that night, weren’t they?)

Hey, I saw that same moon in Kansas City! How does it get around so much?
