All done
The wood is all stacked. We had a system—the lad filled a wheelbarrow and dumped it where I was stacking, then went back to get more. It took us about 5 hours and I am really, really, really happy that it is all done. There’s a small pile of crumbs left in front of the car. I need to sweep the driveway a little more thoroughly, pick through the crumbs for kindling, then dump the rest in the compost. But other than that....finished. I am so happy!!!
I told the lad that I would take him out tonight to anywhere he wants to go for anything he wants to eat. He’s still considering. I don’t care where as long as there are margaritas!
Why...of course you’re supposed to appreciate a driveway without a stick of wood in it. I want to tell you, that was an accomplishment and I am still thrilled.
He decided he wanted to go to Applebee’s. I’m not quite sure why there of all the other places he could have selected, but that’s what he wanted and he ate a lot. We had such a good time.
