I hope your weather improves. Here in Bucks County PA it’s a bit cold outside and not much sun. But not too bad, after all.
I lived in Connecticut for about 20 years, and don’t remember being enchanted with the weather.
Cas
That’s a good word, Cassie. I can certainly say that I’m not enchanted today. Not with 42°. Rain I can live with...we need it...but this cold is nuts.
J, I’m back in layers again, too. There were murmurs of discontent around here last night, but the heat stayed off. If it doesn’t warm up soon, I might fire up the stove. It’s pretty brisk in here.
On the bright side, though, my baby grass is growing like crazy and I haven’t had to water it in three days.
And I did get the rest of the grass mowed last evening (along with several other neighbors). It was either take advantage of a brief lull in the weather and deal with slightly wet grass or wait until the end of the weekend when the grass would have been knee deep. We were all out in our winter jackets and gloves. Such a sight.
Bustles? Bustles?????? I am freezing a lot more than that off, I can tell you. And my heat just went on, I came home and this house felt like a barn. No wait, I have been in a barn before, it was a hell of a lot warmer. Temp in the house is 56, too much. This sucks, just plain sucks!!
I worked in the city today (Saturday) - our home office is in Tampa and of course, I had to call them. They said......"all ya’all having a nice spring up theah?” Grrrrrrr--I said oh yeah, I love 43° weather in May, just freaking love it.” The person I was talking to laughed - B***H and said she had no idea what that would feel like. I could show her!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;(
Yup. This weather royally reeks and my furnace is now on, too. You just know, though, that when this weather breaks, the temps will fly up to sweltering with equal humidity. This is New England, afterall, where we’re lucky to have 3 weeks of perfect weather out of the entire year.
