You poor thing. Get well! It’s been one thing after another lately, hasn’t it? Hope you had a chance to enjoy some of the warm fresh air, though.
BTW, my lawn mower started right up with a purr. I love that thing. It’s so quiet. My yard looks civilized now.
my grass needs a trim, a good trim, already too. Doesn’t seem possible. Lovely sun today, but windy as all get out. Maybe if I pop my “bumbleshoot” and stand in the right place I can land in your back yard to say hello........
Here’s a story.........my cat (8 months old now) loves, LOVES being outside and we have been letting her out whenever we are out--I call her every 20 minutes or so, she meows and comes running from wherever she is...usually the woods as for some reason she loves wandering around in there--anyway, when she comes, we always praise her tell her what a good girl she is and once she gets the obligatory pats, off she goes again.
Yesterday my son was here - I was at work - so he let her out. A few minutes later looked out and saw two coyotes out in the back--one big, one small...near the neighbor’s guinea hen coop (grrrrr). Anyway, he tried making a lot of noise to scare them away and they could not have cared less. He called me and said it was amazing, they absolutely ignored him. Then he started calling the cat - really scared him because unlike her usual behavior, she didn’t come and didn’t come and finally after about 15 minutes she did. He scolded her, brought her in, and she has been in ever since--quite unhappily I might add...he told me I should keep her in a few days so she would learn that she is to come when she is called. Yeah, right. She has learned to give kisses when you ask for one, she fetches like a dog, she runs to greet people like a dog and a whole slew of other things some cats don’t do, but learn a lesson? I doubt it. So, of course, now I am totally conflicted. I want her to be an indoor/outdoor cat, but.............DAMN!
Pegasus had wings right? (that is my word). Now if my kitten had wings, I wouldn’t worry so much......
Geez, Cyn. Coyotes and kitties don’t mix very well. Once a cat has had a chance to be outside, though, it’s really hard to revert them to being strictly indoor cats. But under the circumstances, I’d be barring the door. I feel for your conflicted state of mind!
With regard to grass...I noticed the darnedest thing...mine grew overnight. I think this is going to be an ongoing problem resulting in a whole lot more grass cutting. Sooner than I’d like, too. Silly stuff, always grows too fast where I don’t want it to and won’t grow at all where I want it to.

"my spell check found no errors. I’m on a roll”
Ya, that usually makes my day off to a good start too lol!
Thanks, I just went and opened my windows. I didn’t realize it was nice out. I am all bundled up and freezing. I am sick and can’t enjoy this , waaaaaaaa! Now I am going to climb into my bed and cover up and try not to freeze to death so I can air out the house for a bit.
