Ugh, I for one am glad that my back is recovered enough that the TV isn’t my only entertainment. (my back went out a couple of weeks ago. Last couple of comments I made I was standing lol. As of yesterday I can sit for ten minutes at a time, woo hoo!) I made it to the library so I now have a book to read. The kids are on vacation so they have been entertaining/keeping me busy. Now its catching up with everything that didn’t get done while I was flat on my back for a week and a half. Maybe (hopefully) by the time I am all caught up they will have at least moved on to something else!
Yes, Iraq continues to descend into..well...hell. People die on both sides of the occupation and the media try to ignore it as much as possible. I’m beginning to believe that has as much to do with ratings as a reluctance to sound controversial. Watching news about Iraq makes people uncomfortable. The media know that and they aren’t going to go there until they think it will sell. For now, it doesn’t sell like a home grown massacre on a college campus. Massacres on home soil are safe and uncontroversial, draws in viewers, and spikes ratings. Last week Imus, this week Virginia Tech. Next week? Who knows. They’ll figure something out.
J, I wondered where you went. I’m sorry about your back. Hope you’re up and at ‘em soon and the vacation doesn’t drive you insane.

It’s like they’ve all gone the Nancy Grace path. Also yesterday, 150 people died in Iraq, but I guess we’ll get to that some other time--it’s not like they’re going to stop dying over there.
