Connected!

I am now officially a Comcast customer. My goodness, I had forgotten what this kind of speed is like.

We had a few moments of head scratching before it all worked. I’m glad to note that even the professionals do silly things. We neglected to plug the computer into the router and then wondered why in the world nothing worked. That only took about 15 minutes to figure out. Once we did that, everything worked like well oiled gears.

Now to deal with Verizon. They’ve been issuing snotty emails all week. Rather than making any attempt, whatsoever, to inquire if there might be a problem or beg for my business, they informed me that, because I’d dropped my phone service, they were raising my internet fees by about $10 and adding some other line fee. Oh, and eliminating my fabulous bundle discount, too. Dunno. Their overall tone was not very nice. Now I have to get them outta my life. And DirecTV, too. And change all my email addresses again.

I really hope that Comcast works out this time.
