While today never climbed above freezing, it was still almost like a day at the beach, comparatively. There was no wind and the sun brought a lot of heat into the house. The furnace never went on and I didn’t even have a fire in the stove until an hour ago. Still, the house maintained it’s heat quite well—about 70°.
It’s that evil nasty wind, which March seems so well noted for, that does me in. I’m beginning to understand wind madness (one of the primary afflictions of plains settlers back in the day). All things in moderation, y’know? Forty mile an hour winds is not moderate in my estimation.
For the first time in about a week, I’m happily toasty.
