Cowboy burger - bacon, lettuce, tomato, melted cheese (swiss, I think) and gobs of Texas barbeque sauce. If they’d left the Texas part off, things’d been just fine.
Okay, I’m going to try one of the Margarita’s but only in the interest of investigation.
In the interest of scientific discovery, you may have to go back two or three times, Pablo. Science is demanding.
Well this is hard for me to swallow (not that I can swallow anything at the moment) I have never tasted anything from appleby’s that I have liked. And I have tried lol. Guess we will have to go sometime so you can introduce me to one!
Yep, let’s do. And you will be pleasantly surprised. Guaranteed.
see, soon you will be a connoisseur of “perfect” margaritas just like me!! ;) There are a few people who actually find it hard to believe I tend to judge a restaurant (or pub) by the quality of their margaritas........how silly are they? After all, if they mess up my favorite liquid refreshment, why would I want to eat their food!!
I am surprised at Appleby’s. I have had a few there over the years and do not recall they were anything out of the ordinary.....I know the last time (was with my mom and my aunt) my feeling was they had simply waved the bottle of tequila over the glass and, of course, that just won’t do!! ;)
I would never have imagined the perfect margarita at Appleby’s either. I wasn’t all that impressed with the burger, that’s for sure. Maybe it’s peculiar to this particular Appleby’s, I don’t know. But if you go in search of one, it’s the margarita brought to the table in a shaker that you pour yourself. And they seem to know how to salt the rim of the glass with the right salt and with perfection. Just...perfect.

Grins. You gotta compartmentalize. Keep your politics away from your food, young lady.
