I’m lucky in that I haven’t had to shovel any snow this time. It seems like you can get sore pretty quickly. Not sure that I could shovel for 1/2 hour.
Cas
Well, I’m not done shoveling yet, Cassie. I still have to make a path to the woodpile, unless I want to wade through knee deep snow to get to it. Not. Fortunately I don’t have to for at least another day. I also have to dig a hole in the snow in one of the raised beds so that I can dump a load of wood ashes. My stove needs to be emptied out. Have I mentioned lately that I miss having the lad around?
Cyn, your most adorable little kitty would probably be in a total state of shock if she shot out the door into a snow pile. Abbie tried that a couple of times in years past and now she knows what snow is and doesn’t even think about it. Snow is most definitely not to her liking. She does not like having cold, wet feet. At all.
Every year, when winter sets in here - January, basically- I send out little snow wishes. Because in Mississippi, it gets cold, according to our scale - for instance, this morning it was 22F - but the cold and the moisture never seem to coincide. I remember a good snow- 9”! - in 1997. It hasn’t really snowed since. I want it to snow. But when I read accounts like yours, from people who live in snow country, I remember that snow can be a real pain. But I still wish it would snow.
Hi Harry. Moving snow around can be a pain, but having it out there to look at is most delightful. And playing in it, too. I think it’s obligatory to complain about the snowy inconveniences even for those of us who love it and miss it when we don’t have it. It must be an unwritten rule of snow culture. ;)
I hope you get some pretty snow, too.
I can’t believe I got stuck lol. I forgot about the small snow bank and just kind of glided out until....... it was to late lol. Silly me! And it proves my point to E that those tires are not great in the snow!

OK, granted it is pretty and it is--we only got about 8” down here, but could it please be a little warmer? And could the wind go somewhere else? If it weren’t for that it would be reasonably tolerable!! I do like looking outside at it, but not thrilled going out in it.
J is away on business this week so.....I was plowed out thank goodness, but then when I looked out yesterday morning, realized they had done a half ass job and there was A LOT of snow plowed up in front of my side of the garage. SO, much as I hated to call, I did (my guy lives out past Nashua, NH--but has tons of jobs here thanks to me-LOL) and said I have to go to work and the way my drive was left, I cannot get out. Turns out he subcontracted some of his work here out to someone local and they messed most of his customers up. Lesson to be learned I guess. Oh well, I was able to go to work so all is well.
Our new little addition - sweetest, cutest little DEMON kitten you ever saw--thinks she would like to go out and play on the deck. I think not!! She is still pretty small - only 6 lbs and has never been outside as far as I know. Spring will be soon enough!!
Happy Friday!!
