Valentine's Day Blizzard

Happy Valentine’s Day. Hope those of you who celebrate aren’t snowed in without your sweetie. And hey...speaking of snow…

Boy are we getting hammered. I’m still waiting for the sleet and freezing rain or just plain rain, but it’s not happening yet. In fact, it’s snowing harder and the wind is blowing a gale. Sideways snow, in other words. Schools are closed, several businesses are closed, and we are under a snow emergency.

I suppose, for the florists and restaurants who looked forward to doing a booming business today, this wasn’t the best timing for a blizzard. Valentine’s Day Blizzard are three words that probably don’t belong together.

My little family is all snug and warm and I’ve already received a phone call from the lad whooping it up because it’s finally snowing there. Everyone is thrilled to bits. Except for the florists and restaurants.

So, if it decides to rain this afternoon and half the snow washes away...well, that would make some folks happy and those of us who love snow have had a chance to enjoy a whomping good snow storm. But, if it wants to keep blizzarding, I wouldn’t complain. It’s so pretty out there.
