Cider Press Hill

Balmy

Along with a number of other locations, we’re breaking January temperature records today. Currently we are 72°. Though it’s nice to have all the windows and doors open to allow the balmy breezes to blow through, as I’m bopping around the house in a tee shirt and shorts, the immediate world beyond my front door is mightily confused. The willow tree in the neighborhood is now green. The leaf bud casings appear to have fallen off and there are baby leaves covering the tree with the most vibrant shade of green. Many of the leaf bud casings on my weeping cherry tree have cracked open and the baby leaves are visible. My grass is still green and needs to be mowed. And...there are bugs flying around outside. This is so not a good thing.
