and a very Happy New Year right back atcha!! 

Just brought our dollar bills in from under the doormat out on the front steps!!  (Old Italian(??) tradition, put a dollar bill out before midnight on the 31st and bring in on the 1st--supposed to bring you prosperity!!) One of those things I am always almost afraid NOT to do!! 

Last year I think it worked the opposite way....seems to me I brought lots of prosperity to plumbers (furnace, faucets and the like), electricians (all new indoor lights), vaccum tech (new motor for my central vac) and on and on it went...........oh and of course, a significant contribution to the various casinos in Vegas   So, maybe this year it will be my turn!!

Let’s hope for a kinder, gentler 2007 and that my party of choice actually makes a difference instead of just talking about it!!  And that our new Governor is all we hope he will be..........(we are going to the local inauguration at MC on Friday which should be fun!)

I don’t have any traditions like that, Cyn. Maybe I should adopt some because it couldn’t hurt. And it would be fun.

I’d like 2007 to be be better than 2006. I’m not holding my breath on the national and international fronts, but maybe Duval Patrick will give us some good moments on the home front. Goodness knows there’s a lot that needs to be done. But waving goodbye to Mitt will definitely be one of the best starts to the year.
