Oops. HPR has two different streams on two different frequencies, one classical and one news/talk.
I have to listen to Boston’s WGBH and WBUR (NPR news station which tends to aggravate me more and more) on the computer since they won’t come in on the house radio. But that’s fine. WGBH does jazz all evening and night, special programming on weekends and classical during the day. But they’re really into opera and Mozart and I’m not. I also get the Maine Public Radio in the house which is like public radio used to be in the late 70s. I like that station a lot.
But WCRB’s tastes in classical are very close to mine and I love it. I have it on now and it’s nice to know I can also get it on the computer.
I’ll have to check out HPR’s classical format. I’m always on the lookout for good classical stations.

Every time I hear something like this I smile gratefully: HPR has two distinct program streams on several different stations/frequencies. One’s primarily classical and the other is mostly news/talk until the evening, when we get four hours of jazz.
