Gravatar issues

For the time being, I’ve suspended the use of gravatars on this site. The gravatar web site seems to be experiencing major difficulties getting some new implementations up and running. I think I’ll avoid using the service until the problems are ironed out. Broken gravatars lead to slow loading pages and we might as well avoid that when possible. For the time being, comments will be ‘decorated’ with little fox images, with the hope that gravatar will be fixed sooner or later. I am quite fond of that service, but not at the expense of my site’s performance. So...hope they get it fixed soon.
