I love the flat LCD screens. Just love ‘em. But darn it, I don’t like compromising image quality when half my photos are marginal to begin with. I wonder if the newer LCD screens are better. This one is about 4 years old. Not that I’ll be replacing either monitor any time soon. I suppose the solution is to process images on the old computer. The CRT is definitely better for viewing any kind of image. I wish they weren’t so big and bulky.

It generally seems to be conceded that CRT monitors represent colors more accurately than other monitors, though it’s been so long since I’ve used a CRT that I can’t personally vouch for that.
I don’t even want to think about what my photos might look like on different monitors across the country after trying to make prints that actually look like the images that appear on screen.
