thanks - I saw Paul Newman in a shopping center parking lot in Connecticut quite a few years ago.  He was making a political speech. 
I don’t remember who he was promoting, but I must say his eyes are the bluest I’ve seen.

That’s what we’ve all heard for years and years. It’s something that I don’t think film ever really has been able to adequately capture. I still vividly remember, while standing at the drugstore counter when I was a little girl, seeing a man with the deepest most vibrant blue eyes that I have ever seen—before or since. They were so arresting. Amazingly blue, almost with a violet cast. I just couldn’t help staring at them. That must be how Paul Newman’s eyes affect people in real life.

I’ve always admired the things that he and his wife stand for and work toward. Without the usual celebrity fanfare and fuss.
