On the other other hand, because you’re familiar with sharp objects, you might get careless!
I dunno....those little wink faces might have me concerned.
Turns out that cutting glass is a little harder than it looks, but not *really* hard. Just fussy. The tools for doing it are amazing, though. The soldering part is fun. I’ve never held a soldering iron before in my life, yet the teacher said I appear to have a natural touch for it. She didn’t say that about some, I must admit. Some of the others stood around saying, “Wow, you’ve done this before, haven’t you.” Well, so I can make lovely soldered seams, but working on the glass cutting is something else. I think I’ll stick to straight lines for a while. In any case, we turned out a group pumpkin tonight and it looked REALLY GOOD. Next week we start on individual projects and in three weeks we begin on an individual project of our own choosing. Like a lampshade or something. I can dig it. This is a blast. I wish I’d taken my camera tonight. Next time.
Didn’t you have your cell with you? Glad you had fun. Wish I could do it with you!
Oh if you want to get some stuff moved around we need to do it this weekend or the begining of next week. E will be on vacation starting the 11th. Did I just say E and vacation in the same sentence? This is the first in many years we have been together!
I prefer “Stained Class”, an old Judas Priest album, which takes me back to much more carefree days.
Besides, I like the title. ;)
J—yes, I had my cell with me, but it was turned off. And I can always teach you what I learn. That would be a fun Saturday sometime.
Volkher—Now I’ll have to look that album up. I’ve never heard of it before. In fact, I’m not even sure I know what Judas Priest sounds like. My music education continues.
Oh, no, don’t continue your education with Judas Priest.
Old-school Brithish heavy metal with a screamer ... not your cup of tea, or am I wrong?
Their later albums were much better (and much louder). ;)
So, I’ve listened to Stained Class, Ram it Down and Screaming for Vengeance (I love this one!). Still have British Steel to go. My house is very clean now. This is the kind of music that makes one’s heart pump and blood race.
Yes, I like metal. As with everything else musical, I have no memory for who performs what, but I recognize a number of these tracks.
And while I was at it I stuck In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida in my playlist and cranked the speakers to house jumping volume. Not sure what it says about my music tastes, but that is still one of my all time favorites.

Personally I’d be concerned about that hot lead. Think about it; you’ve been handling sharp objects all your life, so you know how dangerous those are. Dispensing lead, on the other hand…
