To waste, to destroy, our natural resources, to skin and exhaust the land instead of using it so as to increase its usefulness, will result in undermining, in the days of our children, the very prosperity which we ought by right to hand down to them amplified and developed. ~Theodore Roosevelt

I swear to goodness that I am the embodiment of a jinxed person. Thirteen days ago I ordered a new debit card from my bank, to replace the one I lost. There still wasn’t anything in my mail box today so I stopped at the bank to inquire. Come to find out, the order was never processed. Before I left the bank I made sure that the order was processed. But I still have to wait another 7-10 days.
All apologies aside, I’d still like to know what the bank person did with my September 1st order.
This reminds me of the old days and I really do not want to relive them. Besides which, not having a card makes paying a couple of my paperless bills online just a little difficult this month. Having set my bill paying up electronically, I’d rather taken it for granted. Now I realize how much I *depend* on it. I’m not sure whether that’s good or bad, but at the moment it’s inconvenient.
