New template
It was time to make another skin. Something different and with an autumn flavor. Besides, I felt like tinkering this weekend. If you’d like to take a look at it without messing up whichever template you’re already using, you can look at the template’s stand-alone page and then use your browser’s back button to come back to the page/template you’re on now.
This template seems to work well in IE6 and Firefox, but I don’t know about IE7 or Safari or Opera.
One of the interesting parts of making this skin was running back and forth between two computers. My new one has a flat panel LCD screen, which makes everything brighter and lighter. My old monitor (really, really old) makes everything look about 5+ shades darker. Maybe the old monitor is fading with age. I’m not entirely sure about the color selections, but I made the background pixel by pixel and the color selections were a bit of a seat of the pants affair. Anyway, if it looks good on your monitor and you like it, the skin is listed under the templates section on the sidebar—Apples in a Basket.

Sorry I haven’t called yet. Everything is ok. BC is home sick today, and up my behind. So talking is not going to happen today. Tomorrow we have to go into Boston.
