Me, too, Pablo. Me, too.
Cassie, thank you. Quite a few tears managed to fall today afterall. They are much needed and necessary for a while. I must be patient until this is past.
And J, bless her enormous heart, came over and made me dinner, gave me a literal shoulder and listened to me wail. And we talked and talked about our kids. And she made me Salmon Wellington. OMG was that ever delicious. She is such a fantastic cook! She’s a treasure, indeed.
Does the college have a Parents Day? Or has that gone out of fashion?
Yes, it does. September 15th. Then they have a four day weekend from October 7-10 (autumn break already??) and Homecoming a couple of weeks later. The Dad unit is going to do the Parents weekend. I’m not sure which of the October weekends I’ll take.
I’ll leave that up to the lad. Once he’s settled in and has a grasp of his schedule and social life and so forth.
You are too sweet. It was nothing, really. Well no, it was great. It felt great. It was wonderful. It was like old times. I needed that. So you did probably more for me than I did for you! And damn, I thought the scallops were the best!
Oh see. I put my foot in it. Yes, the scallops were out of this world, too. It was almost more than my senses could handle in one sitting. Good lord woman, you are some kind of cook. You just astonish me.
Next entry: And then....
