Yes, allergies are running rampant. I walked out of the doctor’s office with a handful of prescriptions. Between the tag end of the cold and the allergies, I’m all congested and my poor wittle sinuses are inflamed and infected again. My eyes are practically glowing in the dark, too. The doc said that the autumn allergies are very early and *really* bad this year. She’s seeing a lot of new people with wicked allergy symptoms and secondary complications and is handing out nebulizers like they’re candy dispensers. She gave me a script for some kind of new allergy med that’s supposed to be totally side affect free that will stop the allergies in their tracks. I hope so. I also have another antibiotic that should fix the sinus thing once and for all. Oh and medicated eye drops, too. Man, the pharmaceuticals must love people like me and all the lovely allergens in the air this year.
I had it in May. MD told me that it’s pollen until June and then ragweed in August.
Luckily, the ragweed hasn’t bothered me.
BTW nothing helped but narcotic cough syrup. At least I didn’t wake up during the middle of the night coughing my arse off.
I could substitute a portrait of Steinbrenner or something. Much more manly than a flower, right?
Ragweed is early this year and that probably means a longer than usual season, too. Up until the first frost.
When I lived back in NY state, I suffered for weeks with corn pollen. Given that just about wherever you live in upstate New York there are corn fields surrounding you, it’s a horrible place to live for corn pollen allergies.
But now I have a ton of ragweed growing on the hill behind my house, so I’ve just pushed my allergies forward by a couple of months. Yay me!
I had one of those back in May. I must say I did not have the pain you are describing, I just had some pressure there without being stuffed up however I was told the stuff was going into my throat and irritating it. I had dreadful cough which was what was keeping me up for hours during the night. I did not have a decent sleep for weeks.
I am also not happy that supposedly one is more likely to get them again once they have had them before. What ever happened to what does not kill you only makes you stronger? In that case it is the other way around. :(

OMG my allergies I driving me bonkers! I can’t put my contacts in my eyes for more than a few minutes! Damn, I need to break down and get some glasses for times like these lol. I know yours have been pretty bad too, maybe a prescription for allergies is in order to keep this sh*t at bay? Hope you feel better soon sweetie.
