Hail

We just had a rock ‘em-sock’em thunderstorm blast through. The National Weather Service alerts said the storm was capable of producing damaging golf ball sized hail. I guess they weren’t kidding.

I ran out to check the car after it was over. No damage that I can see, although I can’t imagine how things that big falling out of the sky could help but put dents in it. The lad grabbed a golf club and played a little golf with the larger hail stones. He said they were pretty soft. Maybe that was the saving grace. They bounced rather than landed with a hard impact. That was pretty darned startling.
