yeah and dropped right on me!! I was in Salem, NH shopping......the top had been down all day and something told me to put it up before I went in another store, came out, it sprinkled a little, then a little harder and then the heavens opened. I never saw rain come so hard or so fast........and lots and lots of thunder and lightening. Made for an interesting ride back here. Should have been no more than 20 minutes, was more like over an hour.......ALl the way I kept saying, idiot, it’s only a canvas top, lightening goes through canvas, idiot, idiot, idiot............ Oh well, it was MY excuse for not stopping at the market on my way home!! - OH, that was around 4, still rumbling and flashing now and again...and raining of course.
Ok, OK, enough already...if you are still not getting rain, would you like some? It hasn’t stopped. I could have sworn they said something about lots of showers and lots of cloudy but no showers for the next few days. I don’t remember anyone saying constant RAIN. On my way into the city and of course, it is raining hard again. Nearly every weekend.
AND, you will love this. Had to go shopping yesterday and every store I was in was having “end of season clearance sales.” Excuuuuuuse me, what end of what season? Since they were summer clothes, it obviously isn’t winter they are talking about. But end of Spring? It hasn’t started yet? End of monsoon? Still going on. End of summer? What summer? Grrrrrrrr
It’s raining. And raining. And still raining. The weather report I read yesterday said we’re in for a good long drenching with torrential rains through next Wednesday with some (many) areas picking up an additional 10 inches of rain. We might get some thunder and lighting and perhaps nickel sized hail for added excitement. It just sounds like so much fun, doesn’t it?
I think we had summer on Sunday. I hope you didn’t miss it.
We have summer sales here, too. I expect to see Christmas displays going up any time now.
