Cider Press Hill

Still graduation day, so far

The lad and I went out for breakfast this morning and ran last minute errands. He attended a brunch with friends and now he’s headed off to lunch with his Dad and family. I think he’s going to explode soon.

Meanwhile, the rain still falls and nothing has been called off yet. It’s not a steady rain, just a steady drizzle. Maybe we’re edging toward overcast with fog and mist. But I’m still prepared to wear my little black dress with blazer and a big raincoat. I’m even toying with plonking on the baseball cap. Sitting in drizzle in mid 50s temps sounds like fun, doesn’t it? Hoping that it stops in the next two or three hours.

There is much excitement in these parts. I haven’t had a chance to stop running long enough to think about it much yet. But when I do, I think I’ll be shocked. My little boy is grown up. It happened so fast. But I love what he’s become. Endings and beginnings all bunched up together.

Now if only the rain would stop....
